Do you make salt scrubs?

We use sugar, not salt, because sugar exfoliates wonderfully without stinging any cuts or abrasions. This was a founding principal as the product was developed for my son’s eczema.

Can I use this scrub as soap?

No, this is not a cleanser. You should use cleanser first, scrub last.

Any special uses?

Before you shave (legs, underarms, bikini line), exfoliate with Sugar Momma Scrub and rinse. Then, just grab your razor and go to town. You won't need to apply any shaving cream before shaving AND you'll have the smoothest shave of your life!

Use Sugar Momma Scrub and a pumice stone to exfoliate your feet in the bathtub. I don't recommend doing this in the shower since your feet may become silky smooth and a little slippery - we don't want you tumbling down! Sit down while doing this.

Where do you keep your scrub?

Anywhere, as long as the lid is closed.

  • Kitchen: Before you do a load of dishes, grab some Sugar Momma Scrub, go to town and then rinse. Your hands will have a great barrier to help repel some of the moisture that leads to dry, chapped skin!

  • Bath

  • Shower

  • Guest bathrooms - pamper your visitors!

How much scrub should I use?

A little goes a long way. To help your scrub last longer, start small (fingertip size) and add as needed. We sell wooden scoops to help make your scrub last longer - see Accessories.

How often can I scrub?

I scrub daily, but many people prefer 2-3 times a week. It’s all a personal preference!

What’s the deal with coconut oil?

There are many options when it comes to selecting a base for a bath scrub. I'm often asked why I chose coconut oil.

First, it is important to know that all coconut oils are not created alike:

      • Unrefined coconut oil, which is the base of all Sugar Momma Scrubs, is extracted from the fresh meat of a coconut. It is not processed or altered from its natural state in any way.

      • Refined coconut oil is extracted from the dried meat of a coconut and requires processing, like bleaching, and adding synthetic ingredients. While it is cheaper, it doesn't carry all of the same moisturizing benefits of unrefined coconut oil.

      • Coconut oil touts many amazing benefits:

        Naturally softens skin

        Naturally antibacterial and antifungal

Works for and with all skin types

Can scrubs be used on the face?

Yes - these products are noncomedogenic (won’t clog pores). Just be gentle when exfoliating as your facial skin is more delicate than other areas of the body.

Do you have a favorite scrub?

All of them! :) Truthfully, it’s all a matter of preference. The base of the scrub is the same in all 20 varieties. The difference is the scent. They range from earthy, sweet, floral, citrusy and clean.
